Fire Hydrant, Hose reel and Dry Riser Testing

FIRE-STAT International Limited specialises in carrying out tests on fire hydrants (Task 524) and hose reels (Task 803.1) at a large number of military establishments.

Using calibrated testing equipment, and well tested methods of work; clients can be assured of a quick and efficient service with limited disruption.

All reports include a summary of the condition of the systems, a report on each individual unit, a list of costed remedials and task classifications.

The formats of the reports are tailored to clients needs, although a preferred layout can be issued.

Depending on the size of the commission, it is aimed to provide a report within one month of the tests, although many are delivered earlier.

Fire Hydrant Testing

As part of the test, minor works are carried out, including cutting back vegetation, chaining caps to hydrants, tightening false spindles and painting the direction of opening on the underside of the cover.

Hose Reel Testing

During tests, all jubilee clips to nozzles are replaced with compression collars, nozzle brackets are adjusted, nuts, bolts and screws are tightened and valve packing glands are tightened.

Dry Riser and Flat Hose Testing

The company can carry out testing of wet and dry risers and flat hose.

Hose Reel Repair

The company specialise in installing hose reel units at MOD establishments and can carry out repairs and replacement of drums, valves, hose reel tubing.
